The brief
Fox Davies regularly publishes research and findings on their website to attract potential investors. Our brief was to redesign the corporate website, incorporating a robust and user friendly CMS (content management system) so that the website can be easily updated in-house by several parties. Deliverables included: architecture and wireframes • front end web design • HTML/CSS/Flash build • CMS integration • photo shoot.
The solution
Firedog provided a solution which beautifully presents the Fox Davies offering to the high-net worth individuals they target as potential investors. The design uses a clean slightly off white background. A strong central image area demands attention and is backed up with a sound proposition at the top of the page. The remainder of the text and layout is clean and simple. Serif text has been used throughout the design in order to convey a sophisticated look & feel. The use of imagery is impactful and sophisticated.
The results
The site was built in HTML/CSS with Flash scrolling imagery on the homepage. The front-end was then integrated into an Umbraco CMS, an Open Source CMS which ensures all content can be easily managed in-house with ease. Upon delivery of the finished site, a CMS training session was organised for key Fox Davies staff. Firedog also produced reportage style imagery for the site which reflects the high-action, frenetic nature of the trading floor, plus portraiture of all key staff.
