The Jiglu name is built on the properties of Jigsaw and glue - Bringing your online content together. We researched around this proposition looking to unearth a unique identity. We liked the idea of an animated jelly jigsaw type character which could be used to convey the product positioning. We set about exploring this avenue. The icon would begin to represent everything that is fun and engaging with an online digital technology brand. Once we had a firm idea of direction, it was all down to finessing the final identity and developing the right kind of character. We chose a slick yet personable character and offset his softer nature with a bold and confident wordmark. The brand was applied to the Jiglu social offering and supported by a number of community illustrations which conveyed the benefits of the product. Once agreed on the generic look and feel, we worked deeper on the tag widgets and asset overlays - A good deal of planning supported this process. Due to the nature of the emerging technology and both the target audience and application, we worked in depth with the client on positioning and proposition. Part of the product delivery channel is a series of APIs and widgets. We created the look, feel and layout of these elements. The brand applied harmoniously to the digital environment - complimented by our messaging and iconography toolkit. We worked together with the client on providing a web toolkit where we covered off the required visual assets.
