Baby I’m Yours – Breakbot video

Need to share this sexy animation – the music video for Breakbot, ‘Baby I’m Yours’ (2010). Designed by Irina Dakeva at WIZZ, it must have been a labour of love as it’s composed of over 2000 hand painted watercolor images and 2D animations – rotoscoped and shot in 5D for optimum quality.  Slick and stunning result!

Friday again

Friday again, so as promised, here you have the making of video for the Deadline project I blogged the other week.

3 months planning, 4 days shooting and 6000 Post-it notes. I guess they looked weird when buying such an amount of Post-its.

They used Adobe Illustrator to make the designs on the computer and Adobe Flash to animate them. Then they projected it and followed the animation in real life.

Small things can lead to amazing products.

Friday Deadline

Because it’s Friday and there is no better way to end a busy week than a bit of fun, here is a great video done with a nice technique. But be careful with your post-its if you have a tight deadline.
The technique in this video is called stop motion where a physically manipulated object appear to move on its own. The object is moved in small increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames are played as a continuous sequence.

Nice, isn’t it. You just need a few post-its, a camera and a bit of patience (maybe a lot).
