After a hard days graft at the office, I made my way home and sat down in front of the telly for some “switch off” time. It was not to be.
Having a look at the line up, I spotted a programme called The Fixer with Alex Polizzi on BBC Two. Mmm, I thought to myself, that rings a bell. A bridal shop. A mum with two daughters. More bells ringing. Then I recalled, last summer we were approached by Alex on behalf of Twofour to lend a hand in the making of a reality show. It was meant to screen this summer – So I was not exactly expecting my mug to be splashed across my Samsung in high definition. Does everyone look so, mmm, shiny?

And it’s not even a product in development… I’ve only just woke up to the fact that the iPhone 4 retina display carries a resolution of 326ppi (That’s pixels per inch).

One of our team spotted a gold plated Royal mail van hurtling northbound up Kingsland Road. Fluttering behind the fleeting vehicle, a fancy envelope fell upon the ground, right in front of our intrepid firedogger.
The pristine laid cotton paper envelope was sneakily opened and behold, within lay our Majesty’s seasonal plea:

December 2011
It’s the time of year where we need to rush out and stock up on Christmas presents for our friends and families. Even though the vast majority of Londoners buy their presents online (do we?) – There still is a time and place for soaking up the spirit and hitting the streets.
And what is more, you don’t have to rely on the nightmare crowds (and tourists) of the West End – There are plenty of less populated, and probably more interesting places to visit. Here are a couple of destinations that have been tickling our fancy this month.

A bit mouldy by now, but worth a fair wad?
An object – any object – has value if enough people desire it, which is why in 2004 a decade-old toasted cheese sandwich bearing the image of the Virgin Mary sold for $28,000 on eBay.
Discovering value in unexpected places can be the key to effective branding too, where little nuggets of corporate value can be finessed into something memorable, and of magnitude.
