The other day I came across this post from Boooooom and it really made me laugh. A brilliant idea from Booooooom & Adobe, a competition to recreate any famous piece of art in a real photography. Some of the submissions are amazing, others… not so good – but funny though.
From Saturday 17th of September to the 25th September, London city is going to be immersed in the design culture.First staged in 2003, the London Design Festival is one of the world’s most important annual design events. The Festival programme is made up of over 280 events and exhibitions from around the world.
The Festival is both a cultural and a commercial event. The programme ranges from major international exhibitions to trade events, installations to talks and seminars, from product launches to receptions, private views and parties. The majority of events are free for the visitors to participate, listen, learn, commission and make purchases.
For the first time, this year, St Paul’s Cathedral will play host to an exhibition. Minimalist architect John Pawson has installed a new work entitled ‘Perspectives’, in one of the capital’s most iconic landmarks. The designer has collaborated with crystal experts Swarovski to create a precision-made meniscus – the largest lens possible to manufacture.
Get your Design Festival Guide or go to http://www.londondesignfestival.com/ to know what is going on around the city, but if I was you I won’t miss the ”Barcelona design meets London Design”. The contemporary art gallery The Vyner Studio is hosting this exhibition featuring 4 professional studios from Barcelona and 2 studios based in London: AloyMas, Causas Externas, GR Design, Tomás Alonso, Oscar Diaz and OutOfStock.
Don’t miss a thing!

Wow! I can only say Wow!The Inkling is a ballpoint that transfers sketches to a computer via a USB. While you are drawing, all strokes are recorded electronically which can then be imported as raster or vector artwork in to your preferred graphics application for further editing….woooooow! Check the video! So, when is Santa coming? You’ll make Firedog very happy
As you may know, I love the work of Alex Trochut. Maybe because he is from Barcelona like me, maybe because we studied in the same UniversityHe just released a new book, More is More, where he tells his secrets: his inspiration, his influences and all his ideas.
Looking forward to having it in my hands. For now, take a look at this video. Enjoy it!
