Blinkin’ hell!

1. Stare at the red dot on the image below for 15 seconds
2. Glance over to a blank surface (a nice white wall ideally)
3. Blink like your life depends upon it.

FYI: I stumbled across this excellent optical illusion over on the Quipsologies blog.

Nice little Aardman number – Gulp!

We rather like the clever use of the mobile medium in this viral clip.

But will anything save the fate of Nokia?

Greenpeace on fighting the dark side

I was taking a walk down Old Street last week and was intrigued to see an experiential installation themed around Star Wars.

I immediately assumed it was designed to support the ongoing Volkswagen campaign, but on second glance the inverted VW logo caught my eye.

Mac vs Pc… (yes, again)

Again, the same story… are you mac or pc?

Do you prefer to drive a Vespa or a Harley?
Are you a vegetarian or do you eat meat?
Do you throw parties or don’t you?
Do you want to be unique or do you prefer fitting in with others?
Do you live in a city or in a rural area?

Google gets comical…

google in comic sans

Its April Fools Day here in the UK and Google have played a nice little joke on the design community. As you may (or may not) know, designers throughout the world are BIG fans of Comic Sans (miniature April Fool there) and Google thought it would be a giggle to change the typeface on its search results to the wonderful and beautifully formed Comic Sans when a user searches for “Helvetica”.

For more on Comic Sans and its misuse, see http://comicsanscriminal.com/, a lovely website with lovely typography.
