Firedog has just completed an online learning project for BBC Education

Firedog continues to work with the BBC’s Education department – our recent work has been looking at the future of the BBC online. It is a high level and confidential strategic project so we will have to sit quiet about the details for now. Suffice it to say that the work is incredibly exciting – a lot of crystal ball gazing into the future possibilities of interacting with digital learning content online.

The studio has been busy, sometimes into the witching hour, thinking up virtual worlds, user journeys and interaction scenarios – all concepts that will be tested with three potential audiences of different age groups. It has been a great experience collaborating with Commissioners, Film Directors and Producers to bring shape and life into this future virtual world of education for young people. The results incorporate some high tech wizardry including dynamic action scripting to create a truly interactive and responsive navigation for the prototype concept sites… naturally we can’t wait to show it off, but we must keep schtum for now.

We have also just received the latest copies of the RAW books hot off the press – further developments in the story of Max, Lara and their pet space hamster ‘Kooloo’. We have been delighted to see our beloved characters taken further, and job well done too! Firedog created the original narrative and family of characters of Lax and Lara’s world. It all began in the dark and gloomy month of October last year when the Firedog team conjured up the magical world of Mungospooks and Fribbling the Fearless. Click here to see some of our original work and characters for this project. Long live the amazing travelling space circus we say!
